Citylibraries Townsville has received a grant from Townsville STEM Hub and Inspiring Australia to deliver an initiative that increases community awareness, understanding and engagement with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based activities in Townsville.

CityLibraries Townsville is coordinating a photography competition that will culminate in an award / celebratory event and exhibition to be held during National Science Week 2018. This event will be held on Saturday 18th August, 2018  at Thuringowa Library, Kirwan, Townsville, in conjunction with the STEM Hub Faire.

The theme for the competition is Sharing the Story of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in Townsville at Work, Home or Play.

Competition Categories:

  • Primary School Age (5-12 years)
  • Secondary school age (13-17 years)
  • Open (18 and above)
  • People’s Choice – awarded by popular vote via Townsville City Council and Citylibraries Facebook pages.
