Arduino in the classroom: learn, teach, troubleshoot

Designed for Years 7+ teachers, this Professional Development workshop is designed to take you through the hardware and software of Arduino—not only what it is and how to use it—but how to troubleshoot the common issues in the classroom.

Inclusive of your own Arduino kit to take home, all workshop resources and refreshments, this event provides you direct access to our team’s expertise as we share how we use this platform to teach students the art of programming through ‘doing’, using real-world, hands-on innovative learning experiences.

Come and:

  • be introduced to Arduino programming and the basics of microcontrollers
  • understand programming and where it sits in the curriculum
  • work through the kit from the circuit to the sensors and inputs and outputs
  • tackle ‘troubleshooting 101’.

The session will end with project brainstorming groups, where you will work with other teachers, sharing ideas and concepts for innovative and simple applications of Arduino coding into new or existing curriculum.
