Junior Engineers provides children with the opportunity to learn coding and robotics in a safe and fun environment.

This coming holiday, Junior Engineers is offering your kids more.  New programs, new technology, new locations and new opportunities to have fun with coding and robotics.

Location: Annandale State School – Cnr Oleander St and Yolanda Drive, Annandale, Townsville.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

Coding Workshop: Learn to Code to Develop Apps,Websites and Video Games
Learn the foundations of coding with CodeMonkey. Learn languages such as Python, JavaScript & HTML. Fun, interactive and engaging challenges delivered each day. For new and returning students. Group 1: grades 2 and 3; Group 2: grades 4 +.

Dates: 24 – 26 September 2018
Investment: 3 x half-days (8:30am – 12:30pm) = $170
Early Bird: $159

Robotics Workshop: Create a Robotic Vehicle with Artificial Intelligence
Using Arduino, students will build a car and use code to program it with artificial intelligence to autonomously navigate an obstacle course, creating a robotic vehicle with artificial intelligence. Suitable for students in grades 5 +

Dates: 24 – 26 September 2018
Investment: 3 x Half Days (12:45pm – 4:30pm) = $185 + $50 for the robotic kit which students keep.
Early Bird: $155 + $50 for the robotic kits which students keep

Robotics Workshop: Fun with Micro:bits
Micro:bits are taking the world by storm. Micro:bits are pocket-sized, codeable computers. Students will learn to code it with motion detection, a compass, LED display, and Bluetooth technology. Students will be able to create text and emojis, colour displays, music, games and more! Suitable for students in grades 3 +

Dates: 27 -OR- 28 September 2018 (1 Day)
Investment: $130 + $30 for the robotic kit which students keep
Early Bird: $111 + $30 for the robotic kits which students keep

Investment: $199 + $30 for the robotic kit which students keep
Early Bird: $185 + $30 for the robotic kits which students keep

 

What do I Need to Bring?

  • Laptop (Windows or Mac). The laptop should be no more than 4 years old
  • Power cord
