Junior Engineers provides children with the opportunity to learn coding and robotics in a safe and fun environment.

This coming holiday, Junior Engineers is offering your kids more.  New programs, new technology, new locations and new opportunities to have fun with coding and robotics.

Locations:
St Peters Lutheran College – 66 Harts Rd, Indooroopilly
EDSCO Superstore – 12B Windorah St, Stafford
Belmont State School – Cnr Old Cleveland Rd + Scrub Rd, Carindale

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

Coding Workshop: Learn to Code to Develop Apps, Websites and Video Games
Learn the foundations of coding with Scratch and CodeMonkey. Learn languages such as Python, JavaScript & HTML. Fun, interactive and engaging challenges delivered each day. For new and returning students. Suitable for students in grades: 4 +.  Investment: 3 x Half-Days = $195 OR 3 x Full-Days = $300. 1 Day (Belmont Only) = $120, 2 Days (Belmont Only) = $205.

Robotics Workshop: Fun with Micro:bits
Micro:bits are taking the world by storm. Micro:bits are pocket-sized, codeable computers. Students will learn to code it with motion detection, a compass, LED display, and Bluetooth technology. Students will be able to create text and emojis, colour displays, music, wearable tech, games and more! Suitable for students in grades 3 +. Investment: 1 Day = $130 + $30 for the micro:bit kit which students keep OR 2 Days = $215 + $30 for the micro:bit kit which students keep

Coding Workshop: Learn How to Code to Modify the World of Minecraft
Students will join the Junior Engineers Minecraft gamers community and have the opportunity to play Minecraft with like-minded students and experience the joy in learning how to code to control and enhance their favourite game. Suitable for students in grades: 4 +. Investment:3 x Half-Days = $190

Robotics Workshop: Create a Robotic Vehicle with Artificial Intelligence
Using Arduino, students will build a car and use code to program it with artificial intelligence to autonomously navigate an obstacle course, creating a robotic vehicle with artificial intelligence. Suitable for students in grades 5 +. Investment: 3 x Half-Days $190 + $50 for the robotic kit which students keep.

 

What Do I Need to Bring?

  • Laptop (Windows or Mac). The laptop should be no more than 4 years old
  • Power cord
  • Code with Minecraft workshop only: Minecraft user account details- this needs to be the full PC-java Minecraft account. The laptop should be no more than 5 years old
  • Water, lunch and snacks
