Following on the success of the inaugural Australasian Symposium on Health Communication, Advertising and Marketing (HealthCAM 2014) held in Brisbane on 30 September 2014, it gives me great pleasure to announce HealthCAM 2018.
On behalf of QUT’s Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q), Faculties of Health and Creative Industries and the School of Business, I would like to welcome you to the second Australasian Symposium on Health Communication, Advertising and Marketing (HealthCAM 2018) which will be held in Brisbane, Australia, on Tuesday 25 September 2018.
With a theme of “Innovating and interacting: the future of public health communications”, the symposium will be a multidisciplinary event focusing on the development, communication, and evaluation of effective behaviour change campaigns in the area of public health in our ever changing environment.
The symposium will provide an opportunity to those involved in health, advertising, public relations, campaign creation, behaviour change research, policy development, campaign implementation and evaluation to discuss and present on the latest work being undertaken in these areas.
Featuring a strong program of speakers from agency, client, government and non-government organisations, the objective of this symposium is to facilitate interaction between those working in the field of health communications, with a special emphasis on building collaborative links between agencies, researchers and campaign clients. The format therefore is that of a research and practice oriented program, with plenty of opportunity for engagement, networking, communication and learning.
