Robogals Brisbane invites you to attend our Girls in Robotics Day.

This workshop aims to extend the students’ problem solving and engineering skills by building an interactive game using Arduino.

Participants will learn how to set up an electronic circuit with the Arduino to contol LEDs and other components. By the end of the workshop, students’ will have built a whack-a-mole style game for the Arduino which they can continue to modify at home. The workshop is also an opportunity to interact with university students to learn what studying engineering is like, and also to meet like-minded girls their own age.

This workshop is at Advanced level and is suitable for students in grades 7-12. No knowledge of Arduinos is required for participation in the workshop. The cost of the event includes an Arduino kit which the participants keep after the workshop.

The kit contains an Arduino Uno-based microcontroller, a breadboard, LEDs, buttons, resistors, wires and a seven-segment display. Lunch is included.
