Illumin8 Module 3.2: Temperature

This Module explores the science behind temperature!

  • Students will recap their weather diaries, and discuss how the previous sessions weather observation devices performed.
  • Students will explore the effect of temperature on the physical world and on chemical reactions.
  • Students will learn about measuring temperature, and about scientific variables in experiments.
  • Knowledge gained will be put into practice as students construct their own Galilean Thermometer and practice scientific skills: weighing, testing and problem solving.

The Illumin8 Resources are aimed at 9 – 12 year olds.
